In support of tourism development, Myanmar’s online e-visa services have started again.
Since the Covid-19 diagnosis confirmed rate and infection rate dropped, Myanmar reopened entry for fully vaccinated tourists from April 17th this year, and also, the tourist visa application service continued today, May 20th in accordance with Covid-19 rules and regulations by the Ministry of Health.
How to get Myanmar E-visa
There are five steps to get your e-visa online.
- Go to the official website of the Ministry of Immigration and Population.
- Fill in the secure online visa form
The applicant is required to enter all the necessary information in the visa form.
- Confirm and Pay
The applicant needs to verify all the information filled in is correct before proceeding to the next step. Make the payment with a credit card. An acknowledgment email with the application reference code will be sent to the applicant’s email.
- Get the approval letter in 3 days
The approval process may take up to 3 working days. The applicant will receive an eVisa approval letter via email once approved. Print out the approval letter and bring it along with your passport. You will need to present it upon arrival.
- Get visa stamped on arrival
Upon arrival at the Myanmar Immigration checkpoint, submit the E-visa approval letter, and passport to the Immigration officer and get the passport stamped.
