International Women’s Day takes place on 8 March every year to honor all the women around the world. This year, Goethe-Institut Myanmar will bring out a series of programmes throughout March to celebrate the achievements of women in different sectors of the country.
The event will take place in three parts as followed:
Strength in Fragility: An Exhibition by Women Artists in Myanmar
8 – 15 March (10 to 5 PM)
Opening reception and live performance

Photo documentary screening (I), (II) in collaboration with Yangon Photo Festival

Flower Talk Panel Discussion (I), (II)
19 – 26 March (Sunday)
2 – 4 PM
In line with this year’s theme “Petals & Thorns”, the panelists will discuss about the fragility of womanhood and the strength that lies within. This is an event to be if you are interested in the world of Myanmar women.
