Only the second Wa restaurant in the city, easily the first bar, The Root is opening with a bang on August 20th on Bo Myat Tun Road off of Maha Bandoola. Enjoy free-flow Root signature cocktails from 6pm to 8pm on the house.
If you’ve never had Wa food before, you should grab lunch or dinner here after Saturday’s celebration. Dishes are typically served family-style on a display of large leaves (perhaps banana leaves?), with ingredients separated so patrons can construct their own plates. The cuisine known for being fresh and rich in flavours, similar to Shan food in this respect.
The menu is mystery as of now but should be made public on 20th of August.
