Are your kids already bouncing off the walls at home? We get it. With the school break officially here and the Yangon rains starting to pour, finding that sweet spot between active fun and screen-free time can feel like a competitive sport of its own. Luckily, the British School Yangon (BSY) is stepping up to the plate with their highly anticipated Multi-Sport Summer Camp 2026.
Whether your child is an aspiring striker, a hoop-shooting superstar, or just looking to try out a brand-new hobby, this two-week camp is shaping up to be the ultimate playground for the city’s energetic youth.
What to Expect
Flexibility is the name of the game here. The camp is split into two action-packed weeks, giving parents the option to sign up for Week 1, Week 2, or—if the kids just can’t get enough—both! BSY has teamed up with top-tier local coaching talent, including the fan-favorites from Soccer4Kidz and R&R Sports, alongside Coach Min Zaw, Coach John, and Coach Aung.
Here is how the lineup looks:
-
Week 1 (June 29 – July 3): A classic trio of heavy-hitters. Kids will dive into Football, Basketball, and Volleyball. Expect plenty of teamwork, agility drills, and learning how to own the court.
-
Week 2 (July 6 – July 10): The favorites return, but with a fresh twist! Alongside Football and Basketball, campers will get to try their hand at T-Ball and Softball. It’s a fantastic way to sharpen hand-eye coordination and test out a new batting stance.
The Atmosphere
Forget rigid, overly competitive drills that leave kids feeling stressed. The vibe at BSY’s summer camp is entirely centered around three core pillars: Play, Learn, and Grow.
Picture this: the campus transforming into a vibrant hub of laughter, friendly cheers, the thwack of a volleyball, and the comforting squeak of sneakers on the sports hall floor. The camp smartly divides attendees into three distinct age brackets (Ages 5-8, 9-11, and 12-16). This means the little ones aren’t overwhelmed by the older teens, and the older kids get the challenging, skill-focused games they crave. It’s a super inclusive environment where making a new friend from across town is just as celebrated as scoring a winning goal.
Why Go
As expats and local families in Yangon know all too well, keeping kids physically engaged during the early monsoon weeks is tough. This camp offers a world-class, safe environment where kids can stay active, rain or shine. Plus, it gives parents a much-needed breather during the day! Spots are strictly limited to ensure that every single child gets personalized attention from the coaching staff, so you definitely don’t want to sleep on this one.
