Travelers between Yangon and Phuket can from March 25 enjoy a direct flight of only a couple of hours, as Myanmar National Airlines (MNA) announces its direct service to the Thai island.
The new flight, on new Embraer-190 and Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft, will operate every Friday and Sunday. MNA will offer Business, Premium Economy and Economy Class services. Previously passengers had to make at least one transfer—usually in Bangkok.
Flying from Yangon International Airport (Terminal 2) to the mountainous Andaman Island—famed for its beaches and resorts—MNA will set the fare for the Yangon-Phuket-Yangon (Round Trip) from US$250 (all-in-fare).
The flight schedule is as follows:
|UB- 031||Yangon (5.55 PM)||Phuket (8.15 PM)|
|UB- 032||Phuket (9.15 PM)||Yangon (10.35 PM)|
