Italian eatery Irrawaddy Pizza Co in Thanlyin’s Star City has closed in order for a fresh reboot in January.
The restaurant was known for its centerpiece – a wood-fired oven – and Italian fare, such as pizza, bruschetta, pastas, and panna cotta.
Lifestyle agency Pun + Projects, which has run the restaurant for a year, will keep the oven but inject a new concept into the venue.
“We are excited about changing the concept and to offer our customers a new look and new cuisine,” said Imena Crisp of Pun + Projects. “We can expect to open the doors in early January.”
Pun + Projects is behind other trendy eateries in Yangon such as Rau Ram, Paribawga, 50th Street Bar, and the iconic restaurant Port Autonomy, which it plans to reopen in the near future.
