Le Petit Comptoir is the new kid on Yaw Min Gyi! This small Bistro serves traditional home food from France “terroir”. Expect dishes like rillettes and cassoulet. For wine, it’s bring your own – just note that you’ll probably have to pour a glass for the boss as a “droit de bouchon” (right to BYO)!
Mondo has a reputation. Expensive. Top Quality. Exclusive. They now open for lunch and dinner and have extended their menu. Watch out for the small door! Their collection of Sakes is something to look forward to … if you are not on a budget.
Meringue is a new, no-fuss coffee shop round the block. Coffees and pastries are made fresh and complimentary Wifi is available for a connected cuppa. They were still fine-tuning their recipes at time of print, but soon their Egg pudding and Waffles will no doubt delight the kids (and not only kids!). The quiche is nice for a light lunch.

It is a pleasant venue with open doors that gets a cool breeze. A great restaurant for people watching that attracts foreigners and locals alike.
Food costs average around 10,000Ks for a set: includes your choice of meats, veges, iced teas and sauces. Servers and management are polite and friendly.
