Mae Sot Taste is the up and coming authentic Thai restaurant from, you guessed it, Mae Sot. With deep roots in spicy Thai curries and rich Tom Yum soup, its located with quite a far stretch from downtown; in South Okkalapa. Dishes are reasonably priced, justified by the amount of food you get and the quality.

Rakhine restaurants are not common in the city. Rakhine food is usually spicy and strong (most dishes include fish paste), although you can order a light yet tasty Rakhine Mote Tee (clear noodle soup) if you would prefer something less powerful.
