The famous big bright yellow smiley face of Happy Cafe & Noodles can be found in quite a few venues in town. The most enjoyable setting is in the garden of the beautiful colonial building which shelters the inya Road Branch. Their patio is the place to go for some relaxing drinks and a couple of shared plates of Myanmar foods. Their menu focuses on Myanmar snacks, rice and noodles but offers Western options too (and cheap cocktails).

Spruce Café decorated with interesting Japanese aesthetics has a catchy menu that would definitely attract coffee break lovers and people who always wanted to enjoy a Japanese café experience. Drip coffees are their signature set in the menu but matcha and açaí seems quite appealing too. It is highly recommended to have coffee together with a light Japanese dessert. Located on the usually busy Hledan Road, car parking is easier around 7:00pm. However, on foot, it’s perfect to walk in any time of the day.
