Osaka Ohsho – which translates to ‘The King of Gyoza in Osaka’ – is the destination of handmade gyoza (dumplings). Their gyoza is a mixture of cabbage, ginger, garlic and pork wrapped in Osaka Ohsho’s special wonton wrapper, then skillfully grilled to a deliciously golden brown crisp on one side yet tantalizingly moist within. This restaurant set between Golden Crab and YKKO is still unknown and yet is promises to catch more attention any time soon with its fresh atmosphere and nice decoration. A food haven for Japanese noodle lovers, Ramen bar is set in a cosy, tidy two storey space, built for a highly comfortable mood. Unlike most Japanese restaurants currently in Yangon which sell mostly sushi, the place focuses on serving authentic Ramen dishes. Nice cool atmosphere inside. Staff was friendly. English speaking owner. Always a good choice of lunch at this lunch-only Japanese restaurant. Options are limited to 2-3 choice each day but they make up for it with a tasty and fulfilling experience. Ask for rice top up if your stomach isn’t filled up quite yet.
Mondo has a reputation. Expensive. Top Quality. Exclusive. They now open for lunch and dinner and have extended their menu. Watch out for the small door! Their collection of Sakes is something to look forward to … if you are not on a budget.
