The most enjoyable setting is in the garden of the beautiful colonial building which shelters the inya Road Branch. Papa Pizza has undeniably one of the best pizzas in Yangon. The specialise in New York style, thin crust pizzas. Baked in a fire oven, choose from their wide selection of pizza spicy beef, anchovy shrimp, New York slice, three cheese and more.
This garden is located beside Inya Lake. There is also a romantic restaurant known as Sein Lan So Pyay, which offers a variety of food and drinks.
Peppers focuses mainly Asian and Western food, with their motto being “Great place for eating out with the family”, with a friendly and lively atmosphere. They serve dim sum in the afternoon and only accept group reservations for dinner. Dishes include Beijing-style roast duck, gui lin gao (a herbal black jelly dessert), tofu in clay pot, mango pudding and one of the best dim sums available in Yangon.

Lotteria is a very well-known fast-food chain. Many locals frequent here, and is a great alternative for those craving McDonald’s type of fastfood. Their bulgogi burger is highly recommended as well as their soft-serve ice-cream. But do not order the prawn burger…it is painly no good.
First house specialises in Hunan and Sichuan cuisine. Expect well-prepared regional Chinese cuisine, attentive service and a relaxing atmosphere. Popular dishes include mutton and duck hot pot, steamed sea fish, chilli chicken and different varieties of lobster.
This quaint tea house is the place to go to try out exclusive blends of tea. Set A is for two people and includes unlimited teapot refrill along with scones and cream, four different types of cake, two sorts of sandwiches and even a mini-chicken burger. Set B is for four people and is more or less set A timed by two. Ask to explore the house (including outdoor areas) before sitting down: it is full of hidden gems and each room has its own character.

We regret the lack of vegetables and healthy options, and now that they have arranged the Kid’s corner, it doesn’t feel quite as premium as it used to.
