This five-deck “luxury yacht” has a few restaurants onboard. Decorated to reflect the style of the industrial revolution, it may come across as being rather tacky … which can be fun if you want something different! Dishes include smoked salmon salad, crusted butter fish, chicken breast cooked in lemon and Lamb dishes. For dessert, choices include tiramisu and other cakes and pies, with ice cream of course! Vegetarian option is also available.

The bar atop Yama Hotel on Bo Myat Htun was, apparently, a fixture of low-cost Yangon watering holes popular among local students with a relaxed vibe. Some old Burma hands had been awaiting its reopening after it closed more than two years ago, missing a rooftop bar on West of downtown. It reopened, as part of a revamp by Yama, last month with a more up-market vibe, offering a decent range of bar snacks, main meals, draft beers and
even a few bottles of fancy imported ciders, beers, and wines.

The menu is still huge and takes some studying. The thali sets were just enough food, with the mutton vindaloo having the right amount of spicy kick. The Shrimp Tikka was succulent but could have been more succulent, if that makes any sense.
