Experience a unique live performance mixing cinema and music
In collaboration with the French Institute in Myanmar (IFB), Memory festival will present to you for the very first time a unique sound and visual performance with French video jockey Alexandre Elkouby and Myanmar musician Itö with his supporting band.
The two artists will be delivering a bespoke creation, mixing footages from a selection of films presented at the 2019 Memory festival with local sounds recorded in markets, industrial sites or in the streets, and traditional music. The selection, manipulation and creation of sounds and images will be made live by the two artists on stage, fostering a continuous dialogue in order to create collective and ephemeral art.
Do not miss this original live performance that builds bridges between different cultures and times.
This 40-minute digital live performance will be held in the iconic Mahabandoola Park and will be followed by the outdoor screening of City Lights by Charlie Chaplin.
This event is part of Pix’Art, a festival dedicated to digital art, new technologies and innovation, organized by the French Institute in Myanmar in November every year.
