QUICK GUIDE

International Blockbusters and local movies alike, Yangon’s cinema experiences is not to be underestimated. Movies are out at the same time as the rest of the world. Popcorn is available but sunflower seeds are really under-rated. Tickets are around 1,000 to 6,000 Kyats --with couple seats costing more than 10,000 Kyats.

JCGV is one of Myanmar’s leading multiplex cinema exhibitors. JCGV brand started offer- ing services since 2009 at the capital city of Myanmar, Naypyidaw. Its expansion to Yangon has brought success in the entertainment industry fulfilling its goal to provide unique cinema experience.

It is the first cinema with multiplex concept, international standard facilities and Digital 3D technology. It has the most modern state- of-the –art multiplex theater in the country and also set new standards of comfort and convenience with the international standard projection system, comfortable seating and advance computerized ticketing system.

Listing the cinemas in quality would be hard, due to the comparable rates and maintenance. If we were to be nit-picky about special experiences, it comes down to three cinemas that should be kept in mind.

Cine & Foret:

Ever thought about watching a movie in a for- est with your friends or significant other? cine & foret is a new initiative for people looking to try something new or something green? / 5th Floor of Junction City, Corner of Bogyoke Road and Shwe Dagon Pagoda Road, Pabedan Township

Mingalar gold class:

A cinema away from all that shopping mall fuss. Big leather chairs, and all the luxury you can ask for. / No.65-B, Kabar Aye Pagoda Road, Mayangone Township

JCGV Premium Cinema:

Premium has a slighter better edge, mostly because it’s easily accessible. even though you’ll still eat out after the movie, why not indulge in the cinema itself. /Level 1, Junction Square, Pyay Road, Kamaryut Township
