I caught the evening show during my stay in Yangon and it turned out to be the highlight of the trip. The puppeteers control the marionettes with remarkable precision, and each character has its own personality and little comic moments that keep the audience laughing. The storytelling is visual enough that you can follow along even without knowing Burmese, and the traditional music adds a rich atmosphere. It is a wonderful introduction to Myanmar performing arts, and I would happily recommend it to anyone visiting the city.
