Much like it’s namesake fruit, Pomelo is vibrant, bursting with an energy and vitality that is unique to Myanmar.
Pomelo is a Fair Trade marketplace supporting social businesses throughout Myanmar. Pomelo connects design and impact: every purchase made contributes to social and economic change in some of Myanmar’s most marginalised communities and helps to support unique skills and craftsmanship.
Pomelo aims to make lasting impact by providing its artisan partners with training and education, as well as economic reward. Proudly supporting a diverse range of groups and products, handpicked and nurtured by the Pomelo team. The products range from reclaimed teak candle holders, created by former street children who have been trained in traditional carpentry, to handmade soap, created by refugee women in Kachin State. Join the movement #DesignForChange, by visiting the Pomelo retail outlets in Yangon and Bagan, where your purchase contributes towards a brighter future for the country and it’s people.

The Pun Hlaing Golf Club was established in 2000 and is located northwest part of Yangon, about 45 minutes drive from city center. Pun Hlaing Golf Club encompasses 18 holes championship golf course expertly designed by the renowned Gary Player, one of the world’s legendary golf players.
The golf course is unique and artistically tucked away in a cozy bay, overlooking the magnificent and spectacular view of Hlaing River and Pun Hlaing River. Steal a glance between shots while golfing all along the 18 holes, the golf will no doubt experience the charm of the fairways. Roll and meander past menacing bunkers, towards lustrous greens-all, with the warm and pleasant atmosphere, manicured for the ultimate enjoyment of golfing.
Pun Hlaing Golf Club was selected as the country’s host venue for the ASEAN Foreign Minister’ Retreat in 2001, Putra Club 2005 and many other diplomatic missions and tournaments.
On November 2,2002, PHGE was graced by its original designer, none other than Gary Player, and on his return from Myanmar, Mr. Player commented on his website that “Of the many golf courses I have seen in the world, Pun Hlaing has to be in the top five. It reminds me of Augusta, Georgia”
