An evening of Italian flavours at the Embassy

The Italian Embassy has announced the Italian Food Court 2024, taking place on Saturday, 23 November, at the Embassy’s premises. This event is a highlight of the annual Italian Cuisine Week, celebrated worldwide, and offers a unique opportunity to savor authentic Italian food and drinks. Visitors are invited to join in celebrating Italian culinary traditions, conviviality, and solidarity. This year’s festivities will also support social causes, with all proceeds directed to aid people in need in Myanmar.

To participate, attendees will be required to purchase lottery tickets for Ks5,000 each at the entrance. Proceeds from the lottery will support children affected by cancer and their families. Exciting prizes, generously sponsored by Food Court stakeholders and the Italian Embassy, will be up for grabs.

This year’s event features an exciting new addition: the Gelato Academy. In honour of the First Myanmar Gelato Championship, recently held with chef Massimiliano Scotti, championship contestants will showcase how to make Italian gelato without machines. The Gelato Academy will run multiple sessions during the Food Court starting at 3 pm. For just Ks15,000 per lesson, participants can learn to craft their own Italian gelato recipe and enjoy their creation. Advance bookings are welcome and can be made via email at [email protected].

The Italian Food Court 2024 will be open from 3 to 9 pm. The Italian Embassy looks forward to welcoming everyone for an evening of delicious food, learning, and community support.
