foodpanda Myanmar hosted a spectacular appreciation event for its delivery riders at the M3 Food Centre on 7 March as part of its 4th-anniversary celebrations in Myanmar. The event was a tribute to the hard work and commitment exhibited by these riders in ensuring timely deliveries and exceptional services.

Ye Myint Aung, the Head of Operations of foodpanda Myanmar, expressed: “We have celebrated our invaluable riders every year. But what sets this year’s event apart is our special appreciation for the contribution of our female riders, coinciding with International Women’s Day.”

As he emphasised, the riders serve as the vital link between the service and the customers. Thanks to the diligence of these riders, hungry users can enjoy whatever food they desire, whenever they desire.

The riders and attendees were treated to a delicious buffet spread, featuring an array of tantalising dishes ranging from aromatic fried rice and noodles to sizzling stir-fries.

In addition to the sumptuous feast, the event also honoured the top 30 delivery riders who had demonstrated outstanding performance and dedication in their roles. These riders were presented with prestigious awards, acknowledging their tireless efforts in upholding foodpanda’s commitment to excellence in service.

One of the top riders, Nyan Tun Oo, told the media: “This is the only day in a year that allows us to meet with other riders in Yangon. I thank foodpanda for this celebration of friendship and brotherhood. The partnership between the riders and foodpanda is mutually beneficial.”

Furthermore, the event coincided with International Women’s Day, providing an opportunity to recognise the indispensable efforts of female delivery riders. Thirteen exceptional women were honoured with special appreciation gifts – a testament to foodpanda’s unwavering support for gender equality and empowerment in the workplace.

A woman rider and one of the 30 top performers, Mar Mar Lin, shared: “I’ve been with foodpanda for over two years now. It’s truly rewarding to be acknowledged for my dedication. I enjoy riding my bike and interacting with customers. They’re so kind and appreciative.”

Adding an element of excitement to the proceedings, lucky draw programmes were conducted, offering riders the chance to win exciting prizes, including Samsung smartphones, smartwatches, ERKE shoes, and many more. This interactive segment of the event added an extra layer of fun and anticipation, with the emcee successfully maintaining a lively and engaging atmosphere throughout.

Overall, foodpanda Myanmar’s appreciation event was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended. It was a heartfelt acknowledgement of the dedication and hard work of the delivery riders who play a pivotal role in the company’s success, and a symbol of foodpanda’s commitment to fostering a culture of gratitude, inclusivity, and camaraderie within its workforce.
