This is the place where many fond memories were made. The 50th Street Bar & Restaurant has been a mainstay in downtown Yangon’s nightlife scene for two decades. Even MYANMORE held some events here. After closing multiple times and changing hands, it made yet another return on 29 August and we hope it will stay for good this time.
In fact, the place doesn’t need much intro. The new owner keeps most of the decoration intact. With the rugged brick walls, cozy warm lighting and charming staircase, you’ll still experience the same inviting atmosphere as when you first walked through the door.
The menu is more or less the same with Western cuisine and bar bites dominating it. Complementing the food, you’ll find an extensive selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. As for the operating hours, they currently run from 3 pm to 11 pm, but please note that they may be subject to change after the grand opening event.
So, have you been there? What do you think has changed and what remains the same? Drop your opinion in the comments.
