What is it?
The Alley is a modern Taiwanese bubble tea chain which has grown to 400 locations across the world including Myanmar, China, Canada, France, California, Korea and more. Starting from June 2021, with the steam of fame, the Alley Myanmar kicked off the good start among bubble tea lovers.
It is located in the Central Boulevard compound, No.(8), Kabar Aye Pagoda Road, Yangon facing the elegant Inya lake and lively city road.
The atmosphere
Aiming the modern minimalism design, the soft collaboration of black and white generates the calmness in the air.
The faux deer head statue, the trademark of the Alley brand, is hanging fabulously on the wall and welcoming everyone.
All the customers have to order there and take your drink with you as soon as it comes out since they prioritize self-service.
The second floor is where the most customers sit since it is spacious and presents the lake view from there.
The whole interior is simple yet elegant and renders a peace of mind which I love most about the place.
The recommendation
It offers varieties of tea and coffee, starting from the series of Brown sugar deerioca milk tea to Iced lattes, Brew teas and Snow velvet teas with the price range of 3100 Ks ~ 4900 Ks. Sadly, there are not many pastries on the menu as they focus more on the teas. Only some Taiwanese buns and some cakes are available.
On that day, I tried the signature drink, the Brown sugar milk tea which was smooth but not very sweet with the collaboration of soft pudding and delectable sugar soaked pearls in it. I was satisfied that no strong lingering taste is left in the mouth like other typical bubble teas.
I would say it was quite fair to pay that amount according to the tea’s quality.
Final Thought
I believe it would be a place where people would love to drop by after a long day at work. Since the tranquil atmosphere presenting the beautiful lake view and city road will embrace you with a good tea in hand, it is an ideal place to chit-chat with your friends. And I would like to visit again when I have time.
