Our five picks this week

Have you planned your weekend? If not, check our list. We’ve got a fitness programme, art show and more!

New things we have noted

We found a new breakfast place in Kandawgyi Park and it opened just a month ago. The Round House Royal Kandawgyi serves breakfast meals like Shan noodles, pratas and bao. The location is superb and the food varied and yummy. Start your day with a fulfilling feast after the morning walk.

Recipe we’re trying

This recipe is provided by one of the most popular ethnic kitchens in Yangon. Chin Ngan Sat’s very own Kachin Chicken has a spicy kick just what you need on a rainy day.

Place we are revisiting

Burma Bistro serves Burmese food but with a modern touch. We did one of our magazine launches there back in the good old days. We’re going to revisit and try their soup menu.

Event we will visit

Yangon gets artsy these days since we notice art exhibitions almost every week. The exhibition on 23 July at Neutral Art Gallery will feature over 20 young and established artists.

(10am-6pm) 23-27 July | Neutral Art Gallery

Experience we plan

Prudential Insurance‘s fitness event Good Vibe Tribe Festival is where you can exercise and take part in exciting challenges and bring prizes home. There will also be fitness trainers, influencers, and celebrities. The event will happen on 30 July at Novotel Yangon Max. Register here.
