Chin state opens its first airport

The first flight has today landed at Chin state’s first airport, Surbung Airport near Falam! The airport is now ready to give more convenient access to Chin state and support its development….as soon as domestic travel is allowed to start again.

The Airport is, in fact, the first airport done by a Myanmar team without outside help. It sits on the Surbung mountain range, 1,830 meters above the sea level, and features a 1,830-meter-long and 30-meter-wide runway that can handle the popular ATR-72 aircraft.
