- 100 new cases in 24 hours in which 49 are from Rakhine, 47 Yangon and one each from Nay Pyi Taw, Myingyan, Magway and Bago.
- Most new cases in Yangon are residents of Thingangyun Township. They had physical contact with the case number 595, a 40-year-old woman, who is now receiving treatment at the South Okkalapa Specialist Hospital.
- Thakayta, North Dagon Myothit, Hlaingthaya, Kyauktada, Mingalar Taungnyunt, Dagon, Insein, Mayangone, South Okkalapa, Botahtaung and Pazuntaung are Yangon townships where the latest cases were found. Some of them do not have recent travel histories or physical contact with the patients.
- The total number of cases is now 887.
- The Yangon Region Government has warned the citizens to wear masks or face a fine of Ks5,000.
