The new bars at Yangon’s Nightmarket has added a well-needed flair to this interesting idea of a “night market” in-between two busy roads. The containers sized bars and restaurants set against the backdrop of the rush hour traffic of Strand Road, many across from the beautiful Rosewood Hotel. As our review of Jazz Cafe & Bar revealed, make sure to sit indoor or come a bit later in the evening if you wish to talk or enjoy the sounds of music rather than the sounds of traffic. Parking is a bit of question mark so avoid bringing your own car, and do be careful, or just don’t try to cross the road on your own. But it is worth a visit as an alternative to 19 street with your friends, and the views later in the evening make it worth the trip downtown. Here comes a list of bars that are now open:

Another branch under the much loved Bardubai – HiSo Heaven is here for you at Yangon Night Market on Strand Road and our favourite. You can enjoy the sunset in downtown Yangon – with HiSo Heaven’s special European, Arabian, Mexican food and delicious cocktails and Shisha.

Located in front of Rose Wood Hotel Yangon. “Cocky bar” came with a concept of open-air style that opened in the Container lying in the side of the Strand Road with various dishes, drinks and cocktails. It was one of the first bars to open up and they also serve Shisha at a reasonable price.
