When I learnt that Krispy Kreme Myanmar is collaborating with the local business, Tree Food, on their new product, I was excited.
After seeing their teaser, I could guess jaggery would be involved in some way since we locals always compare this Burmese sweet to chocolate. But how will it turn out?
Today I had a chance to try the Coconut Jaggery Doughnut ahead of its official launch (which is on 1st August).
Krispy Kreme doughnuts are too sweet for my taste. But this one is different. It has just the right amount of sweetness. The ground coconut gives its flavour and complements the soft, chewy doughnut. I gobbled up two with ease. 😁
Give it a try when it’s available. It would make a nice late afternoon snack to pair with coffee.
