Home, spook home: the house from The Conjuring (2013) film will go live-stream for a week of supernatural happenings and paranormal activities for 24/7 during the event. The film is a fictionalised story of a real-life family who lived in the cursed property during the 70s.
The live event, called The House, promises plenty of action for fans of the unusual. Horror fans, now it’s your chance to witness all of its spooky happenings. It will start from 9 May 2020 in collaboration with The Dark Zone Network, an online community of filmmakers and paranormal enthusiasts.
During the live-stream, the Heinzen family, the current residents will conduct paranormal activities and seances, Ouija board sessions and invite some of the most well-known luminaries in the paranormal community to pop in remotely and share their most bone-chilling experiences from the house.
The house is now set with multiple cameras so viewers will have a huge immersive experience. You can join the event on 8 May for a free preview. Then it will continue with a subscription, starting at $4.99 for a day and $19.99 for the whole week. All proceeds will go to COVID-19 charities.
The Heinzen family first purchased the house in 2019 with the acknowledgement of the house being haunted. But they loved it — until things got suddenly spooked.
“We’ve encountered different phenomenons such as footsteps, knocks, lights flashing in rooms where there are no lights in those rooms”, explained Cory Heinzen to the local TV station KETK.
The Conjuring film is based on the real-life experiences of the Perron family, who lived in the house in the 1970s until the disturbances were enough to make them move. The film has now two sequels
