People in Myanmar are now complaining about how the weather has been severely hot lately across the country. The temperature in Yangon has already hit over 40C in the past few days and the temperatures in other cities such as Mandalay, Naypyidaw, Bago and more are higher than usual. According to the AccuWeather, the heat wave will continue throughout Tuesday this week.

On May 7, State counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi made an announcement on her Facebook page that she will be hosting a competition for homemade cloth masks to promote the awareness of using face masks. The contestants are to use the rules and regulations about cloth masks, proclaimed by the Ministry of Health and Sports, and masks need to be sewed by the contestants themselves.

Good news for Potterheads- Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, the very first book of J.K.Rowling’s Harry Potter series, will be narrated by no other than Daniel Radcliffe himself and other celebrities such as Dakota Fanning, David Beckham, Eddie Redmayne and more. They will take turns and narrate each chapter from the book and it is stated that the videos will be available on harrypotterathome.com.

Is Singapore living in 2077? In the parks of Singapore, robot dogs are patrolling and telling people to socially distance themselves. These Boston Dynamics four-legged robots named Spot can be spotted in parks in Singapore telling people to stay at least one meter apart. Although the robot doesn’t enforce social distancing, Singapore has strict lockdown measures that could result in fines or even jail time if not followed. These robots have also been used in a US hospital to screen coronavirus patients. 

A new normal? Mediamatic ETEN, a restaurant in Amsterdam, Netherlands has put tables in little Greenhouses — each has a 6-foot distance — so diners can enjoy a meal and beautiful views of one of the city’s famous canals while Social Distancing. That’s not all. Food is served via Long wooden planks, which is a simple way of ensuring staff with face shields can maintain a 6-foot distancing.
