With a vision to expand the coffee culture in Myanmar and to deepen the world’s appreciation for Myanmar’s excellent produce, Origin Coffee & Roastery opened up its flagship shop in March at the Central Boulevard, a spacious and contemporary place decorated with mirrors.
The story of Origin Coffee & Roastery began at the coffee farms in Shan State. Discovering that Myanmar has world-class quality coffee grown by local farmers, Origin Coffee & Roastery was started to educate the world on the wonders of Myanmar coffee and to promote the coffee culture of Myanmar by using locally made speciality Arabica Coffee to both locals and international coffee lovers.
The products from Origin Coffee are all made with local products. All coffee beans come from one single farm in Shan state. The coffee menu consists of the normal favourites such as Americano, Latte and Flat white and for those who are willing to try something different, Origin’s tonic brew is recommended, made with the combination of 24-hour cold-brewed coffee with tonic water, and Frappuccino for the sweet tooth lovers, made with Korean milk soft serve ice cream. There is also a wide selection of non-coffee items such as Iced Chocolate and Nutella & Banana Milkshake.
Origin’s food menu has a wide selection of items, ranging from BBQ Chicken Wings for snack hunters, Signature Origin Rice Burger for hearty meal lovers to Homemade Icecream Sandwich for something sweet and Homemade Granola for a healthy choice etc. Every meal and food item is made using homemade and locally sourced products.
Origin Coffee & Roastery have tried, and succeeded, to create a ‘wow’ factor when you arrive. With the inviting comfort of a cozy neighborhood cafe it does a good job, not only through its design and the beautiful circular Myanmar teak wood counter in the shape of a coffee bean, but also with the overall quality of its coffee and food items. An interesting thing to check out is the coffee storage tubes in the middle of the counter, where roasted coffee beans from the 2nd floor are transported down.
Origin Coffee & Roastery is open again on 1st June 2020. The menu is available for delivery and takeaway service via Yangon Door2Door, Foodpanda and Grabfood. In addition, Origin Coffee is now offering two promotions:
