Everyone who has experienced Thingyan knows the city closes down. This year we have COVID0-19 as well literally adding a curfew on the country with no events taking place during the most active week of the year. The State Counsellor has told us citizens all to stay home and take self-responsibility to prevent the transmission of the virus. If you wonder what is out there, these are the stores, apps and restaurants that are open, mainly for delivery or takeaway, so you can just call ahead and place your order — they will deliver to your doorstep!
