Not someone to be introduced, Nikki Barltrop is the Chief Operating Officer of 57 Below, Gekko restaurant and Parami Pizza with her experience of many years working in the F&B industry since she was a teenager. For her unchanging effort for the development of Myanmar F&B industry, Nikki won the Special Contribution to Excellence award last year.
Nikki recently talked about the current activities and plans that she has been focusing on for the new Parami Pizza downtown and Gekko restaurant. Since Port Autonomy has been closed and converted into the 3rd branch of Parami Pizza in mid January, leaving her with a ton of work to prepare for the place. They’ve been busy training the team at the new pizza place, working on new menus such as weekend brunch together with the group chef and preparing new menus for both Parami Pizza and Gekko restaurant.
Nikki is also sampling and working on a new cocktail menu with the bar team and the Beverage Director, Jen Queen, who has been a great colleague of hers since Union Bar. For their upcoming activities, they planned to have some guest chefs and bartenders at Parami Pizza. She also has new projects for her catering & events company, 57 Below, which all are to be launched before March.
“Myanmore events are always fun and it’s great to see Yangon’s bars, restaurants and hospitality community being recognised for all their hard work.” said Nikki, with much excitement for the upcoming Myanmore Dining Awards 2020.
