According to the announcement per the Ministry of Health and Sports Myanmar last night, two cases were found positive in Yangon — bringing the total number cases to 10.
Patient 09, a 44-year-old Myanmar citizen who passed through the Myawaddy border gate in Kayin State to Myanmar on 23 March 2020, arrived Yangon on 26 March and lived in Mingalardon Township. He was quarantined upon arrival at Pale Myothit Hospital under the facility unit. As he developed the symptoms of COVID-19; sickness and coughing, he’d be transferred to Wai Bar Gi Hospital.
Another patient had direct contact with a COVID-19 patient who tested positive on 28 March. A 45-year-old man from Mingalar Taung Nyunt Township, Yangon was quarantined at Wai Bar Gi Hospital but he does not have any recent travel history abroad. Both are under facility units by the government and the conditions are good now.
