‘Find Your Flavour’, a wine-pairing dinner organized by Wolf Blass, was held at The Pansodan Burmese Brasserie on 4th February, 2020.
Wolf Blass is one of Australia’s most successful wine labels and has been organizing wine pairing events across Southeast Asia and launched its ‘Find Your Flavour’ campaign in November 2019 to show the flavour combination of Asian food and wine.
In Yangon, the event started with a Masterclass hosted by Catherine Wong, the Brand Ambassador of Wolf Blass and Chef Arkar of The Pansodan, who was the winner of Masterchef Myanmar Season 2.
Guests have enjoyed local sauces such as Shan Tomato Sauce, Creamy Coconut Sauce and many more to taste the paired flavours with wines. After that, a Burmese dinner was served with the same sauces and a wine pairing discussion followed. Chef Arkar stated that most people are not familiar with the concept of wine paired Asian cuisines so this campaign encourages people to try tasting Asian cuisines paired with wines to enjoy the new experience.
The event was attended by media and a lot of celebrities and was successfully held with discussions and tips from Chef Arkar and the campaign will be expected to continue till June 2020.
