Simple or not, this traditional Vietnamese noodle-based soup has a flavourful punch and it has surpassed the street food stalls of Vietnam – even North and South. So if you are a fan of Pho, AnNam is here for you to fill your tummy with their traditional Vietnamese cuisines in Yangon.

Located on the ground floor of Urban Asia Center in downtown area, AnNam Noodle Bar & Bites is another place for you to experience the real taste of Vietnam. Founded by a Vietnamese owner who has been serving in the F&B industry in Vietnam for many years – then she admires to share her national food to neighbouring countries and decided to expand her business in Myanmar.

Upon your arrival, you will be welcomed by attentive and hospitable staff, who were trained administratively by the owner herself. The walls are decorated with traditional souvenirs from Vietnam such as colourful Vietnamese Lacquerware bowls and non la (traditional conical hats) which are brought straight from Vietnam.

The petite menu offers selected Vietnamese cuisines which will make you drool just by looking at the pictures. Aung Si Hein, the restaurant manager of AnNam, explained about their special plates such as Signature BBQ Pork Rice Noodle, which is thin rice noodle dish topped with charcoal-grilled pork and special sauce made with their secret family recipe and Fresh Salad Rolls with Prawns, made with thin and delicate wrappers from homeland.

Drinks such as Vietnamese Iced Milk Coffee and Iced Green Tea are on top of the beverage menu. The manager mentioned that they use imported Vietnamese ingredients for coffee beans and tea leaves.

About two weeks after the grand opening, the menu adds 4 more items such as Chicken Rice, Vietnamese-style Fried Rice, Sticky Rice and BBQ Pork Rice for the customers to enjoy different tastes. Although the first outlet has been open for a few months, the owner aims to open 2nd outlet at the end of the year.

AnNam is open daily from 9am to 10pm so bring your family and friends to enjoy the true taste of Vietnam!
