It is not very common to see art auctions in Myanmar, where a lot of gifted artists are born. However, Myanmar Auction Company Limited, the very first private auction company in Myanmar, wanted to promote the value of artworks and decided to hold an art exhibition and auction on 19th January 2020.
Valuable artworks, lacquerwares and a lot more will be displayed at this auction event. From paintings of famous artists such as U Lunn Gywe to small antiques will be there for art lovers and antique hunters to come and join the auction.
There will be public viewing time from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and the latter, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, it will be an auction time. For those who would like to bid for the auction, are welcomed to register at the company in advance and those bidders are requested to make a deposit (5 lakhs in Myanmar kyat or US$ 300) at the Bidder counter on 19th January. Tea, coffee and snacks will be served for the guests and special dinner will be there for successful bidders.
Myanmar Auction Company Limited has organized used car auctions twice and now, it’s time for artworks and antiques. The event will take place at Mingalar Ballroom, Inya Lake Hotel so grab your chance to collect your favourite artworks and antiques!
