The 8th edition of Myanmar’s largest participatory running event, 2020 Yoma Yangon International Marathon will be held on 19th January at Thuwanna Bumi Event Park.
Yoma Yangon International Marathon is the largest running fiesta, and it’s the only marathon event in Myanmar to inspire athletes and communities to connect through a mutual love for running. The event will start at 3:00 AM with the opening of Race village and Baggage deposit. After the warm up session by Power House, Flag Off for 42km Full Marathon by government officials and representatives will follow.
Next, a warm up session and Flag Off for the 21km Half Marathon and there will be a Zumba dance performance by Enervon C. The agenda is expected to continue and in between the races, there will be performances by various artists and entertainment programs, lucky draws.
There will be a media registration booth at the Race Village from 3:30 AM. The awarding ceremony to the winners of various categories will be held at 9:30 AM and fun activities and entertainment programs for participants and spectators will be at the Race Village till 11:30 AM.
With over 11000 runners participating, 2020 Yoma Yangon International Marathon is organized by Yoma Strategic Holdings Ltd., together with First Myanmar Investment Public Co., Ltd and Yangon City Development Committee.
Tip: There is no parking space at the race site so the guests are encouraged to come with taxi.
