On 28 November, The British School Yangon hosted a Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics (STEAM) event at their new campus in the Tawwin Street.
They welcomed registered families and members of the press to take part in some exciting workshops, taster sessions, and experiments from 5 pm to 6 pm.
As a Nord Anglia Education School, it has a unique STEAM collaboration with the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the event was meant to share how their approach works.
Traditionally, schools used to keep arts and science separately. STEAM, however, aims to bring different disciplines together and teach students how to solve problems more effectively and creatively, said Principal Tor Del Federico regarding their approach.
It was an evening of learning where students and families – both old and new – experienced the sophisticated teaching methods in labs and workshops.
