Serving Myanmar cuisines to the world: A talk with Chef Zaw (Laphet London)

Lahpet is one of a few restaurants in London to serve Myanmar cuisine. It’s also one of the latest destinations in Michelin Guide 2020. We met with Chef Zaw, co-founder of Lahpet, to talk about the journey of a small street food stall to a Michelin-recognised restaurant and different ways to use Lahpet (pickled tea leaves) in cooking.

He will be cooking at Locale (Central Boulevard) on 23rd and 24 October with his signature four-course menus in which regular and vegan options are available.

Locale – The Central Boulevard, Shop 8/9, No. 7/A-8/A Kabar Aye Pagoda Road, Yankin Township, Yangon
