A place where something happens. That was certainly the case when we peered through the sturdy glass doors of the new Locale café following its move from the quiet suburban Star City to an economical dense business district like Central Boulevard with Central Sweets just next door.

It has a nice simplistic decor, with absolutely no fuss. There’s a light grass green theme together with a splash of orange surrounding the juicing/coffee station.

So what is Locale? A health-driven alternative to the commercial fast food in current day Myanmar. Furthermore, the ethical sourcing of local produce means you’ll get to eat fresh every time you’re there.

Meals at Locale are light with influences from both western and eastern cuisine which are
evident in some of their specialties like the Mexican Beef Wrap or the Greek Power Bowl –
something we did try.

Not just a-la-carte meals, Locale can be defined by their wide swathe of seasonal or year-round juices and smoothies.

Why not pop in for a quick lunch or a late afternoon snackie after work?
