With Tinder’s huge success in pairing up two lonely souls, Facebook launched its own ‘swiped right’ on the online dating platform by introducing the new Facebook Dating Section along with the “Secret Crush” Feature at its annual F8 conference that occurred on the 30th April.

This new reveal happened together with the update of Facebook’s new look – out with the tacky blue and in with minimalist white. “There are 200 million people on Facebook who list themselves as single,” Mark Zuckerburg, CEO of Facebook, said in his keynote speech at F8.

Since Tinder Gold costs $29.99, many people would find Facebook’s new approach to the dating in very convenient way. 2018 being a scandal-ridden year for Facebook, will these changes make a great improvement for their future or will it backfire? In this new update, you can discover potential matches within your own Facebook communities, events, groups and friends of friends which is now available in Singapore from 1st May.
