Yangon is undoubtedly a city that loves a buffet. For many, each Sunday is blissfully whiled away to the sound of cracking lobster claws, sizzling BBQ meat and fizzing free-flow sparkling wine.

Perhaps it was this knowledge that the newly opened Wyndham Grand Yangon was banking on when it opened it’s new BBQ Buffet Dinner, Spoon. Situated on the 4th floor, guests to Spoon can enjoy a scenic walk past the elevated outdoor pool which over looks Kangawgyi Lake before entering the vast, bright space. 

Divided into nine counters, guests can have their fill of all the usual suspects to a dazzling buffet line-up. To start with look to the seafood counter and choose from King Crab claws, fresh slithers of sashimi or razor clams –– or simply take one of each. 

For the mains, a wide selection of both European and Asian dishes are on offer. Highlights include a pasta and noodle station, where you can choose your favourite mix of ingredients, a BBQ grill with a selection of red and white meat, as well as fish and vegetables, a hot plate section with bowls of curries and pies, as well as a salad station for a healthy option. 

For desert, guests can go wild on the selection of miniature sweet treats available, including a chocolate and nougat cake and mango cheese cake, as well as create their own sugary fantasy at the crepe station, the ice-cream bar and the 5-tiered chocolate fountain. 

For anyone still feeling pecking, the selection of cheeses, breads and fresh fruit are the perfect choice to cap-off a spectacular meal. 

Tickets to the BBQ Buffet Dinner at Spoon cost $35 net per person but until the 28th February 2019, Spoon at Wyndham Grand Yangon will be offering a “Come 4, Pay 3” promotion for their Grand Opening Promotion.
