Myanmar to celebrate its 71st Independence Day on 4th of January, 2019 and things to do in Yangon this weekend

As Myanmar gained her independence on 4th January, 1948 and the celebration is annually-held at Maha Bandula Park Yangon, there will be morning and evening events attended by State Leaders, Government Leaders, diplomats, local and international non-governmental organizations, and invited guests on the day. In the morning, the ceremony for hosting the national flag and saluting, the Independence Day message sent from the President will be read during the occasion of 4th January 2019.

Festive games like football, sack races, pillow fights will be held in streets and regions across the nation and public buildings will be illuminated on the day. Feel free to join the team if you find one!

Carnival at Indoor Skydiving Yangon
