Yangon International Airport, the largest and busiest airport in Myanmar, has just made a new connection: Milan, Italy. Operated by NEOS Air, the route is the first and only direct flight to Italy and Europe.
This new route is expected to assist in promoting tourism between Yangon, the commercial capital of Myanmar, and Milan, a global capital of fashion and design. The weekly flight will arrive into Yangon on Tuesdays and depart on Wednesdays.
Neos Air’s Traffic Rights and Sales Director, Ms. Ilaria Toia said “Starting from today, we are the first European airline that will connect Europe, Milan to Myanmar, Yangon. We start operation today with Boeing 767-300ER. But, starting from December, two days after Christmas, we will operate to this destination with our new brand aircraft Boeing 787.”
