Diners are enjoying a taste of Hong Kong at a new restaurant in Bahan Township.
Canton Paradise on Saya San Road offers an all-day menu featuring Hong Kong classics, traditional dim sum, congeem soup, seafood, and Cantonese wok dishes.
Among the 27 dim sum are the signature steamed mince salted egg yolk custard piggy bun (2,500 kyats), crispy BBQ honey pork bun (2,500 kyats), and steamed rice rolls with fresh prawn filling (2,000 kyats).
Canton Paradise also flouts a range of roasted meats, such as the signature roast duck (6,000-17,000 kyats) and crackling pork belly (9,000 kyats) along with pork that has been slow-roasted for four hours, bringing a burst of mature and delicious flavors.
The chefs’ recommendations are the BBQ pork belly with honey sauce (9,000 kyats) and steamed Cantonese chicken (5,500-17,000 kyats).
The restaurant comes under the Paradise Group, which also runs Yangon favorites Paradise Dynasty and Beauty in the Pot. The group’s Eldwin Chua said, “My team of chefs and I have made many study trips to Guangzhou and Hong Kong to seek inspiration and ideas for the new Canton Paradise. We want to offer authentic Cantonese dishes as well as a truly inimitable setting that is distinct of our Paradise Group’s branding.”
Currently, to celebrate the grand opening of Canton Paradise, customers can take advantage of a promotion on crispy roasted duck with a minimum spend of 50,000 kyats, and enjoy a half duck at only 1,000 kyats. Any spend above 100,000 kyats means you can enjoy the whole duck for the same price, valid from August 20-September 3.
