Yangon diners will be treated to premium Australian beef and lamb in 23 hotels, restaurants and bars during a big promotion from 1-30 June.

Chefs from the city’s top establishments will use the Australian produce—accompanied by the country’s wines—as part of “Australia on the Menu.”

As well as pleasing pallets, the campaign hopes to encourage diners to visit Australia and enjoy its food and culture. It will include a raffle contest for those ordering featured Australian produce, with two winners chosen weekly. The prize is 50,000 kyats spending
privileges in one of the participating restaurants.

There will also be one Australia cosmetic hamper or a bottle of great Australian wine to win each week. At the end of the promotion, there will be one prize draw of round-trip economy class tickets for two to Australia, sponsored by Singapore Airlines.

The Australia on the Menu promotion is supported by Myanmar food and wine importers and is co-branded by the Australian Trade and Investment Commission at the Australian Embassy, Singapore Airlines, the State Government of Victoria and Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA).
