Hilton Group today opened the 231-room Mandalay Hilton, its third property in Myanmar.

Overlooking Mandalay Hill, the high-end hotel previously operated as the Mandalay Sedona Hotel, owned by Singapore-based Keppel Land.

The Eden Group, one of Myanmar’s largest conglomerates, then bought the hotel for US$41 million and entrusted it to Hilton to manage.

Hilton Group, which also runs properties in Napyitaw and Ngapali, was keen to invest in Mandalay—Myanmar’s last royal capital and a thriving trading hub.

We look forward to expanding our presence in this sought-after travel destination and introducing Hilton’s world renowned hospitality to Mandalay-bound travellers,” said Sean Wooden, vice president, brand management, Asia Pacific, Hilton.

Many of the hotel’s guest rooms have private balconies and offer views of Mandalay Palace and the pagoda-dappled Mandalay Hill. Kitchenettes are available in several rooms and the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant Café Mandalay serves regional and local fare.

Bungkus, an upscale deli in the lobby, serves delectable pastries and quick bites. The hotel also offers a swimming pool, a large Jacuzzi and a fully equipped fitness center that is open 24 hours.

Hilton Mandalay is located at the intersection of 26th St and 66th St, Mandalay 11121, Myanmar. For more information or reservations, call +95-2-4036488 or visit Hilton.com.
