&PROUD Mandalay LGBT Film Festival returns for the second year in March with a series of art and cultural events celebrating love and diversity.

The festival will bring lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender films, performances, music, games, and a photo exhibition to Jefferson Center from March 2-3.

Joined by artists Sandi Myint Lwin and Zun Wai Yan, the free festival will draw together the LGBT community together in Mandalay in order to raise awareness about LGBT rights and issues in Myanmar society.

Two evenings of outdoor film screenings are planned at the center, including films previously shown—and praised—to a Yangon crowd and two new short films from Myanmar.
