New Rooftop Nightclub Hits Yangon

New rooftop bar and nightclub NYX will open this month on the top floor of The One Entertainment building in West Shwegondine in Yangon.

The nightclub—previously the inside area of The One Bar—hosts a party on Christmas eve, after two days of pre-opening parties.

NYX, the name of a Greek goddess who represents power, beauty and the night, plans to host regional and international DJs from Europe. They will play mainly EDM, trance, trap and deep house, but will also organize parties of other music genres.

General manager Romain Orhant, a young French man freshly arrived in Yangon, has a background in the European nightlife scene.

The executive chef Abel Galaviz, from Mexico, will work closely with the local team in the rooftop bar, providing a range of international and local delicacies.
