Myanmore magazine launched its December edition celebrating fashion and design amid the beautiful lakeside setting of Seeds Restaurant in Yangon on Wednesday evening.
The special edition comes before Myanmar International Fashion Week from Dec 8-10, an anticipated showcase of the country’s best designers, organized by John Lwin of leading modeling agency Starz and Models International.
John Lwin teased the crowd last night with a glimpse of fashion week’s offerings. A collection of Myanmar models wearing traditional dress and holding square Pathein umbrellas walked the restaurant runway leading to Inya Lake.
This month’s magazine profiles one of Myanmar’s fashion designers Mogok Pauk Pauk, who put in an appearance at the launch party. It also covers the country’s rising designers, fashion tips from a top model and stylist, a Bangkok shopping guide, and more.
