Yangon gained its first design hotel today with the opening of Hotel G Yangon, an 85-room property centrally located at the heart of Yaw Min Gyi neighborhood.
To celebrate, the hotel has released a special ‘staycation’ rate for residents wanting to be the first to experience Hotel G Yangon and explore the city’s booming contemporary design, culinary and music scene.
Valid from for stays between 7- 30th September 2017, the Hotel G Yangon ‘staycation’ package is priced at USD 80 per room per night and includes accommodation in a Great room based on double occupancy, as well as daily breakfast in Babett Eatery & bar and a bottle of sparkling wine on arrival. Bookings are subject to availability and available for advance reservations on Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday nights only. Rates are subject to a 10% service charge and 5% tax.
The 85-room Hotel G Yangon has all the intuitive technology, super-fast connectivity and
understated style that savvy modern travellers crave, alongside creatively designed social spaces, a premium eatery & bar and fully equipped fitness centre. At the heart of the hotel is an open plan lobby and signature Babett Eatery & Bar, a trendy chic area with wooden tables and suede banquettes where patrons can relax, refuel and reconnect. Babett, open throughout the day, offering breakfast, pizzas from a wood-fired grill, sharing platters of cold cuts & cheese, and daily specials from Executive Chef, Javier Ballesta.
Hotel G Yangon has 85 fully equipped rooms ranging from 15 m2 to 30 m2 across four room, categories – Good, Great, Greater and Greatest. Rooms have been designed in wood tones that contrast with vividly coloured walls and artworks with a modern graphic take on Myanmar’s design heritage. All rooms have complimentary WIFI; a handy phone with free local & international calls and data while roaming in Yangon (available for upper room categories), Bluetooth stereo alarm; LED smart TV; an e-reader application through which guests can access 6,000 international newspapers and magazines; safe; and tea and coffee making facilities.
Hotel G Yangon also has a bright and airy 500 m2 Real Fitness ExpressTM gym, with a range of state-of-the-art equipment, including treadmills, free weights and mat areas. Guests also have access to a weekly schedule of yoga, pilates and Zumba classes in a new dedicated studio.
Off the hotel’s lobby is a G Shop, stocking Hotel G branded accessories and essentials, as well as modern and vibrant hand-made crafts and must-have design pieces sourced from throughout Myanmar in collaboration with a local fair-trade design collective: Hla Day.
