Introducing Babett, vintage yet chic, this new eatery is painting the town red with its trendy ambience and Mediterranean menu.

Located in Hotel G Yangon, the lobby hosts a range of Hla Day products at the G-Shop, which opens up into this contemporary restaurant- offering indoor and outdoor seating.

If you feel like a coffee and free Wi-Fi during the day, treat yourself to the comfortable chairs while you cool down under the antique fans outside. Fancy a Spicy-G tequila cocktail and tapas? An evening at Babett is what you’re looking for.

While sipping on your drink at the island bar, don’t miss having a sneak-peek at the oven and grill behind the glass windowed kitchen. Babett is also the only restaurant in Yangon, which boasts a dry-aging machine: meat lover’s galore!

With an extensive hot and cold tapas menu, you could be spoilt for choice- the Babett tapas selection teases you with a variety of outrageously affordable tapas at 3,000MMK only!

The Esqueixada is a codfish tapas with olives, peppers and tomatoes- delicate and zesty.

Another codfish surprise was the Brandada Roll- codfish and garlic puree wrapped in zucchini.

Offering a generous range of French imported wines, Babett gives you the option of pairing it with the delectable cold cuts and cheese platters.

The G-board features cold cuts of Saucisson, Serrano and Mortadella accompanied with cheeses Tomme de Savoie, Gorgonzola and Brie. Let’s just say; a platter to worship your taste buds.

Recommended starters would be the Gazpacho- Salmorejo -delicate tomato and butterfish soup and the grilled octopus; oh Babett, you’re so smoky and flavorsome.

For the main course, Babett sends you to heaven on earth with the melty-meaty pork chop for just 19,000MMK.

And last but not the least, to satisfy your sweet tooth, the chocolate lava will leave you absolutely content. This decadent dessert is a hearty helping of chocolate cake, fudge and chocolate ice cream.  Don’t be fooled by it’s apparently large size- it’s so good, you just won’t stop.
